🔬Test Results & Lab Work

Can I request a specific lab for my blood work?

In most cases, yes — you can request a specific laboratory, with some limitations.

When you can specify the lab:

  • If your insurance requires an in-network lab (Quest or LabCorp for most plans)
  • If your doctor has a preferred lab that feeds results into their EHR system
  • If you are self-paying and prefer a specific lab's pricing
  • Limitations:

  • Not all mobile phlebotomists partner with all labs — they may have exclusive contracts or operational relationships with specific labs
  • Specialty tests (rare hormones, genetic panels, toxicology) may only be available at one lab
  • If a specific lab is required (e.g., for a clinical trial), the phlebotomist must have that lab's requisition and account setup
  • How to request:

Tell the scheduling team or phlebotomist which lab you need before the appointment. They should confirm feasibility. Bring the correct lab requisition (your doctor generates this for the specific lab).
