When will I get my lab results after a mobile blood draw?

Turnaround times depend on the test and the laboratory processing the specimen:

Routine blood tests (CBC, CMP, lipid panel):

  • 24–48 hours from collection

    • Thyroid panels, hormone tests:

  • 24–72 hours

    • Specialty tests (genetic, some autoimmune panels):

  • 3–10 business days or longer

    • Rapid / STAT tests (glucose, certain infectious disease):

  • Same day or within hours if STAT processing is ordered

    • How results are delivered:

    Results go to your ordering physician, who then communicates them to you. Many practices use patient portals (Epic MyChart, Athena, etc.) where results appear automatically once finalized. Some mobile phlebotomy services and labs also offer direct-to-patient result portals.

    Tips for faster results:

  • Ask your doctor to order STAT processing if time-sensitive
  • Make sure your correct contact info is on the lab order
  • Set up your patient portal in advance so results appear there immediately
